But all of that is about to change with the introduction of mobile weight loss trackers. These weight loss trackers are becoming increasingly popular as it is so easy to add in your current weight. You can track your meals and track which food groups you are eating from. Mobile trackers are a great way to see if you are eating too many carbs or not enough protein.
Weight loss trackers can be set up to send you daily reminders of what you need to achieve that day. You can easily customize your goals and add your favorite exercises.
My favorite one is MyFitnessPal. I love it. It is helping me to lose weight, where in the past, no matter what I tried I just could not get off. I thought I was eating healthy. I was for the most part. However, much to my surprise I was eating so much more sugar then I realized. I eat gluten-free so I eat a lot of fresh produce. I have to admit I favor fruit over vegetables. I never realized exactly how much sugar, even though it was natural sugar, I was consuming in a day.
It has a database of thousands of foods that you eat, you can add your own. If you are eating something that has a bar code on it, you can just scan it and it will give you all the information you need. I never thought I would be counting calories and grams of this and that, but MyFitnessPal makes it so easy. And did I mention the app is free. You can also link apps such as a pedometer, squats, sit-ups etc to it and it will automatically deduct the calories that you burned for the day from the calories that you are allowed to eat.
It is great for accountability, you can friend your family and friends and encourage each other along the way.
If you are having trouble losing weight, and have a smart phone, I definitely recommend MyFitnessPal as a great tool.
